Friends for the Conservation of Cabo Pulmo (ACCP, for its Spanish acronym) is a community-based organization founded in 2003, inspired by the protection of sea turtles and coral reef. Over the years, we have come to understand that the protection of the park has several dimensions, so we have diversified our strategies and expanded our efforts to care for our whole environment and improve the quality of life for the people of Cabo Pulmo.

We have achieved major accomplishments through our programs and activities involving the whole community, and with support from government agencies and other nonprofit organizations.

In addition, since 2009 we have organized a festival to celebrate the anniversary of the park, and every Easter holiday, we hold a youth camp with volunteers from the Eastern Cape communities to help us keep our beaches clean.
