SEA WATER QUALITY MONITORING
We monitor seawater quality with help from volunteers from La Ribera and Cabo Pulmo communities to measure physical, chemical and bacterial indicators to ensure that coastal projects are not endangering marine life.
This program is made possible through the support of the following institutions and organizations: UABCS, CICESE La Paz, CONANP, FONMAR, Los Cabos Coast Keeper, CONANP and CONAGUA.
For more information see our Seawater Quality Monitoring Manual.

REEF MONITORING
We encourage community participation in biological monitoring efforts led by other organizations such as UABCS, COBI AC, CBMC, and CONANP to detect any changes in the reef environment and better understand these variations over time. We also disseminate information about monitoring results to residents and visitors to raise awareness about these efforts, and to assist government agencies in decision-making about resource management and conservation.
